English: "Sia l'inventario del 1966 che l'iscrizione riscontrata dietro al dipinto indicano come soggetto del ritratto Elisabetta Teresa di Lorena (1711-1741), terza moglie di Carlo Emanuele III. In realtà la donna che mostra la corona ducale, avvolta da un tendaggio impreziosito dagli emblemi imperiali ricamati (aquila e croci di Lorena) è da identificare con la sorella della futura sovrana, ovvero Carlotta di Lorena, in base al confronto con il dipinto analogo conservato presso la residenza sabauda di Racconigi (Gabrielli, 1972). ; Il dipinto, che fino al 1925 si trovava a Moncalieri (bolletta di carico del 6 ottobre), nell'inventario del 1966 risulta al primo piano, nella sala delle Cameriste"
