Summary edit

Description
English: Another view of the Blondin at Ponc Roller Braich This view was taken from the lorry road in Dyffryn. Beyond that narrow strip of heather is a sheer drop of more than 300 feet to the floor of Twll Mawr 'sinc'. The Blondin and the hanging rail are at least some 350 stomach-churning feet higher than the Dyffryn road. The rail is visible in the photo, on the right hand side, where the slate causeway meets the rock buttress. Climbs in Twll Mawr (Wl for 'big hole')include the 300 ft E8 'The Quarryman' pitch. The back wall offers a number of 700 ft long VS to E4 routes. Foraging goats often dislodge rocks from the waste tips along the rim which go crashing into the bottom of the sinc. On top of this there is always the danger posed to climbers by track walking city morons who take the notion of lobbing a 'rag' or two of slate into Wales' deepest hole. http://www.gallery72617.fotopic.net/p5214842.html
