Description
English: Male Orange-tip [Anthocharis cardamines] Only the males have orange tips to the forewing. Those of the females are grey. The larval food plants are crucifers [Brassicaceae], including Lady's Smock or Cuckoo Flower [Cardamine pratensis, from which the butterfly gets its specific name]. This adult is resting/feeding on Herb Robert [a wild geranium] at the roadside.
