Mr. George Lamb has recently made a map of the loca-t ii hi of the lots of the owners mentioned in the Book of Possessions,undertaking to mark 1 hereon the outlines of the several estate-,with the names of the owners of the lots. The size of the map is!> ft. t in. by 5 ft. 4 in., and is divided into nine sections. Thismap was purchased by the Trustees of the Public Library, andcopies distributed to conveyancers and antiquarians for correctionsand additions. Much yet remains to be done, and it will he thework of years of research before its correctness will be attainable,even if at all. In our reduced form of Lambs map, it is impos-sible to give the names of the owners of the lots as Lamb hasdone, or to give Ids boundary lines, which are purely imaginary.The lots are accordingly indicated by numbers in each section ofthe map, and by comparing the number with the text the name ofthe owner of each lot may be ascertained.
