Description
Español: Retrato de Antonio Toro, fundador de Presidente Derqui, Pilar. Había nacido en 1860, y al alcanzar la mayoría de edad en 1882, toma posesión de la herencia que le dejara su madre y que consistía, principalmente, en una fracción de campo del extremo norte de la estancia originaria. Realizó sus estudios en un colegio de internados en San Isidro y de su matrimonio con Doña Rosa Martinez Melo, fue padre de cuatro hijos, Manuela, Antonio Victorino, José Eduardo y Zulema. A lo largo de su vida desarrolló variadas actividades. Fue comerciante, Jefe del Contingente de Caballería de la Guardia Nacional y presidente del Concejo Deliberante de Pilar. Merced a esta última de sus tareas, encuentra la muerte en un atentado político el 21 de marzo de 1893 camino a la Ciudad de Pilar.
