English: Approaching Shankend Viaduct on the former Waverley Line The Waverley Railway Line was opened in 1862 and closed in 1969. The viaduct is maintained by BRB (Residuary) Limited and the deck of the bridge was waterproofed in May 2007. A British Railways property notice at both ends of the viaduct indicates that this is not a right of way for walkers. |
