| Description |
English: Approaching the western inner fence of the quarry This inner fence runs the full length of the quarry separating the extraction area from the processing and tipping areas on either side. Its principal purpose is stop sheep getting themselves trapped on gallery edges. This happens from time to time and there is a good working relationship between the farmer and the slate climbing fraternity who volunteer to do the sheep rescue. The mountains peeping above the clouds belong to the Moel Eilio range. |
