Summary

edit
Description The Argentine military cemetery near Darwin in East Falkland holds the remains of 236 Argentinian combatants from the 1982 conflict. Despite offers by the British Government to repatriate the remains the Argentinian Government considers the soldiers already to be resting in their home country; indication of their continuing claim to the Islands. Many of the bodies were without identification when they were buried, but modern DNA techniques continue to identify many of those previously in unmarked graves.
