Description
Dish with the map of Japan, two foreign ships off the coast and a round and a rectangular cartouche with texts in Japanese. The sea is indicated by waves, the land rendered in relief. Mount Fuji is indicated with a few lines. In narrow, blue cartouches the names of each province are written. The names of each daimyo is written in blue. Korea (tot left} and the Ryukyu Islands (bottom left) are also indicated, as well as two fictitious countries. The dish is rectangular with a scalloped edge.
