Deutsch: Bei diesem Mailänder Kempfküriss nach französischem Geschmack handelt es sich nach dem Innsbrucker Inventar von 1555 um die Rüstung des Claude de Vaudrey, die Maximilian I. in seinem Fußkampf mit dem Burgunder gewann.
Français : Armure de combat à pied, dans le goût français, de facture milanaise, répertoriée dans un inventaire d'Innsbrück de 1555 comme ayant appartenu à Claude de Vaudrey, Seigneur de l'Aigle et de Chilly.
Exhibition history
Deutsch: Dieser Zweikampf ist im "Freydal”, dem Turnierbuch des Kaisers, auf Folio 39 abgebildet, obwohl der dort dargestellte Harnisch nicht mit unserem Stück übereinstimmt. Nach literarischen Quellen soll es sich bei diesem Zweikampf in Worms hingegen um ein Rennen gehandelt haben.
Français : Cette armure, ou un modèle très proche, est présentée au folio 39 du "Freydal", le livre des tournois de l'Empereur. Selon certaines sources, elle aurait été portée à la bataille de Worms.
