English: This image depicts a Petri dish culture plate that contained an unidentified growth medium, which had been inoculated with a culture of the fungal organism, Aspergillus flavus. Note the roughly textured, granular appearance of the colony, and becoming darker in its coloration as it began to age, from the central region outward.
