DescriptionAstronauts Hoffman and Musgrave performing an Extravehicular Activity on the Hubble Space Telescope (27514172414).jpg |
English: Anchored on the end of the Space Shuttle Endeavour's Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm, Jeffrey A. Hoffman (foreground) prepares to install the new Wide Field and Planetary Camera (WFPC II) into the empty cavity (top left) on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). WFPC I is seen temporarily stowed at the bottom right. Story Musgrave is setting up a Portable Foot Restraint (PFR) as his image is reflected in the shiny surface of the telescope. Hoffman and Musgrave shared chores on three of the five extravehicular activities (EVAs) during the HST first servicing mission in December 1993. |
