Description Atlantic puffins can be recognized by their large, triangular-shaped bill with red-orange tip and blue-gray base surrounded by yellow. Black upperparts with white underneath. Orange legs and feet. Black forehead, crown and nape extends around the throat to form a collar. Pale gray to white face and cheeks. Atlantic puffiins often eat several types of fish including: cod, sand lances, whiting, and haddock. Zooplanktons (euphausiids, mysids, and copepods) are also part of a puffin diet.
