Nederlands: De kaart van de kuststreek van Vlaanderen werd oorspronkelijk in 1644 uitgegeven door Claes Jansz. Visscher (1587-1652). Naar aanleiding van de oorlogshandelingen in het gebied, bewerkte zijn zoon Nicolaes Visscher I (1618-1679) in 1658 de oorspronkelijke koperplaat en verzorgde hij deze uitgave.; Rechtsboven 2 inzetten: Houte Wambus en t Fort van Mardyck by de Francen in genomen den 30 Septemb.r 1657 die t aen de Engelsche hebben Overgelevert. Rechtsonder 2 inzetten: BROUCKBORGH en DUYNKERCKEN.
English: This map of the coast of Flanders was originally published by Claes Jansz. Visscher (1587-1652) in 1644. As a result of the war in the area, his son Nicolaes Visscher I (1618-1679) had to revise the original copper plate in 1658, which was published shortly later.
