Description
Nederlands: Deze kaart van Granada en Murcia werd in 1635 gepubliceerd door Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571-1673). De kaart werd tijdens de 17de eeuw een aantal maal herdrukt, onder andere door Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) ten behoeve van zijn Atlas Maior. Het is onbekend op welke oorspronkelijke bron de kaart terug gaat. Misschien maakte Blaeu gebruik van een kaart van de Antwerpse kaartenmaker Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598), maar zeker is dat niet.
English: This map of Granada and Murcia was published in 1635 by Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571-1638). The map was reissued a number of times during the 17th century by publishers amongst whom Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) for the Atlas Maior from 1662. Its source is unknown. It is possible that the image on the map was based on work by Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598).
