Description
English: An Attic Black-Fiqure Amphora from circa 550BC and consquently this container originated during the Archaic era of Ancient Greece.

(A Side decoration) Six Dancers associated with dramatic festivals in honour of Dionysos, god of wine. One figure holds a drinking horn. The distorted bodies reflect the padding sometimes wom by such dancers.

According to Sally Waite, who researched into the Greek artefacts at Harrogate Museums circa 2014, the paintings on this amphora is in the manner of the Attic vase painter Lydos
