Attila körút with the Church of Saint Catherine around 1914

Summary edit

Description
English: Attila körút in Budapest (Tabán area) with the Church of Saint Catherine around 1914. The photograph shows the row houses on the eastern side of the road between no. 50 and 56. Houses: no. 50 - built in 1840, demolished in 1964 (with the office of the Entreprise des pompes funèbres funeral company and István Magyar's shoemaker's shop); no. 52 - built around 1810, demolished around 1936; no. 54 - demolished in 1930 (with Ignácz A. Zoltán's butcher shop); no. 56 - built around 1860, demolished around 1936 (with the Béla Makovényi's shoemaker's shop). Less than 1 m wide Piski utca was the narrowest alley in Budapest between no. 54 and 56 until 1930. The whole area became part of the Döbrentei tér park.
Magyar: A tabáni Attila körút a Szent Katalin-templommal 1914 körül. A fotó a keleti oldali házsort örökítette meg az 50-es és az 56-os szám között. Házak: 50-es - 1840-ben épült, 1964-ben bontották le (földszintjén az Entreprise des pompes funèbres temetkezési vállalat tabáni fiókjával és Magyar István cipészműhelyével); 52-es - 1810 körül épült, 1936 körül lebontották; 54-es - 1930-ban lebontották (földszintjén Zoltán A. Ignácz mészáros boltjával); 56-os - 1860 körül épült, 1936 körül lebontották (földszintjén Makovényi Béla cipészműhelyével). Az alig 1 méter széles Piski utca az 54-es és az 56-os számú házak között 1930-as megszűnéséig Budapest legszűkebb sikátora volt. Az egész környék ma az Erzsébet híd budai hídfője körüli zöldterület része.
