This picture typifies such wishful thinking, when it appeared in the 1880’s exhibition catalogued as the young prince. Likeness apart, the date on this picture of 1567, and the death of Edward in 1553, some fourteen years earlier, should have been enough tohave precluded this.<br br>The |
