Summary edit

Description
English: Ad for the American film Auction of Souls (1919) aka Ravished Armenia, on pages 780 and 781 of the May 10, 1919 Moving Picture World. The ad refers to the initial showings of the film in New York and other major cities where a $10 admission was charged to raise funds for Armenian relief. When the film was issued for general release later that year, many theater ads compared their admission price with the $10 paid for these initial showings of the film. The ad also refers to the nudity in one scene of the film with the tag line "Fellows - It's a Bare!" and notes that it was shown at midnight in New York City theaters.
