Deutsch: Spektrogramm verschiedener, weit verbreiteter Audiokompressionsformate um deren typische Artefakte zu visualisieren anhand des Liedes "Tom's Diner" von Suzanne Vega, welches auch als die Mutter der MP3 bezeichnet wird (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanne_Vega#%E2%80%9EDie_Mutter_von_MP3%E2%80%9C).
Verglichen wurden AAC, ATRAC, MP3, MPC, OGG und WMA mit einer Bitrate jeweils ~128 kbps und das Original von CD mit vollem Frequenzumfang. Für die Übersichtlichkeit wurden nur die ersten 22 Sekunden verwendet und die Stereotonspuren jeweils zu einer Monotonspur heruntergemischt, die Kompressionsartefakte (Fransen und Löcher in den Frequenzen) wurden dadurch nicht beeinträchtigt.
