Summary

Description	Averdon (Loir-et-Cher) Réserve Naturelle de Grand-Pierre et Vitain. Le bois de buis. Le buis (Buxus) dégage une odeur particulière qui rappelle celle de certains Sauvignons, du genêt mais aussi du pipi de chat. Dans chaque cas, on retrouve effectivement les mêmes molécules. (Il fut un temps où, pour accentuer la personnalité du Sauvignon, on jetait dans la cuve un bouquet de genêts). L'arbuste à feuilles persistantes peut atteindre quelques mètres de hauteur. Il peut confectionner des haies compactes et infranchissables. Le buis, légèrement toxique en toutes ses parties, est connu pour ses propriétés antivirales.
