English: Avon Aqueduct in December The aqueduct over the River Avon on a grey and misty December afternoon. The Avon Aqueduct is Scotland's tallest and longest canal aqueduct, and the second tallest and longest in the UK, only surpassed by the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Wales. Cyclists have been known to fall into the canal when riding their bikes on the towpath; this cyclist has dismounted. |
