English: Nose art "Wolf Bait." Photographed by my father, S/Sgt Gert O. Uthman, USA Signal Corps, probably on Okinawa or Ie Shima. I found the print in an old photo album. It is amazingly detailed, so I scanned it at 600 spi and digitized it with minimal JPEG compression.
I think this is a B-25 Mitchell bomber, but I am not certain, so please correct me if it's another model.
Français : « Wolf Bait » (appât à loup), peinture sur nez d'avion (Nose art). Photographié par mon père, le S/Sgt Gert O. Uthman, USA Signal Corps, probablement à Okinawa ou Ie Shima. J'ai trouvé le tirage dans un vieil album de photos. Il est incroyablement détaillé, donc je l'ai balayée à 600 spi et digitalisée avec un minimum de compression JPEG.
Je pense que c'est un bombardier Mitchell B-25, mais je ne suis pas certain, donc s'il vous plaît corrigez-moi si c'est un autre modèle. |
