S TO HELP WORTHY STUDENTS 1. The funds presented by the several classes shall be con-sidered and treated as loan funds. 2. Loans from these funds, so long as any sums may beavailable, may be made in amounts not to exceed fifty dollarsfor two years. In special cases this amount may be increasedto as much as a hundred dollars per year. These loans aresecured by note with one or more sufficient sureties, due andpayable without interest in not exceeding two years afterleaving school. If not paid when due, interest thereafter atsix per cent, will be charged until paid. 3. The beneficiaries of said funds shall be eligible to theJunior or Senior class in the Normal, and shall be nominatedby the officials of the respective classes and approved by thePrincipal. The obligations given for the loan shall be ap-proved by the committee on Credits and Collections. 4. If no nominations are made by the classes, then theselections are to be made by the Principal, subject to all theprevious regulations.

STATE NOK:\rAL SCHOOL THE TRAINING SCHOOL A normal school cannot properly prepare teachers unlessan adequate training school is maintained. Those who are tobecome teachers should have ample preparation in teachingin typical school situations. Considerable attention has beengiven to enlarging and strengthening the training school fa-cilities of the Bloomsburg State Normal School. The trainingschool, which is located on the campus,,consists of a kinder-garten and grades one to nine inclusive. There is a trainingteacher in charge of each class, consequently, close super-vision is given to the student teaching. Along with the train-ing school the elementary grades of the public schools of thetown of Bloomsburg are used for student teaching. Thesplendid co-operation of the school authorities of the townof Bloomsburg makes it possible to have adequate facilitiesfor the training of teachers for the graded schools.
