DescriptionB25-1 300.jpg |
English: Edwards Air Force Base ? The curriculum of the Flight Performance School included work in evaluating the performance of this B-25 Mitchell medium bomber, the same type which became famous after Gen. Jimmy Doolittle's daring raid on Tokyo in 1942. Unlike Doolittle's raiders, however, the school's B-25 was a "solid nose" model, carried no guns and had its turrets removed. |
