DescriptionBERy bridge at Spot Pond Medford.JPG |
English: A postcard image of the bridge carrying a Boston Elevated Railway streetcar route over Brooks Road next to Spot Pond in Medford, MA. This was one of the only dedicated rights-of-way owned by BERy; it carried the Route 99 Sullivan Square-Spot Pond line, which connected at Spot Pond to Eastern Massachusetts Street Railway cars to Stoneham and Reading. The bridge no longer exists, as the route was converted to bus in December 1955 and later cut back to Elm Street in Medford. |
