Summary edit

Description
English: BMA House, Tavistock Square BMA House is the home of the British Medical Association. The building was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Theosophical Society, and although work began in 1911, they never occupied it - the building passing to the BMA before completion. However, the section fronting Tavistock Square, seen here, was a later extension designed by Cyril Wontner Smith in the Lutyens style; the extensions either side of the entrance were designed by Douglas Wood - the whole building being finished in 1950. Note that there is a branch of the NatWest bank within the building.
