| Description |
English: Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines in Kuwait near the Al-Burgan Oil Field during the Ground War of Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm) in February 1991. Picture shows a destroyed Iraqi T-55 tank that was dug in, and a bomb crater in the front and center, near the dug in tank. The Marines are wearing NBC protective suits, but are not wearing gas masks. The unit was part of Task Force Ripper. The picture is hazy from the smoke produced by the nearby burning oil fields. |
