Here's a backstage scene at some theatrical production at my high school, most likely The Sound of Music.

All of our stage productions were photographed. I'm not sure who took the pictures, probably Ms. Edwards, but they were made available for purchase. Most of us students liked to have some pictures to remember the production of which we'd been a part.

This inspired me to start my own little photo business, beginning my Sophomore year. Rather than focusing my lens on the production itself, I took pictures backstage. I circulated the prints to my fellow Thespians. People wrote their name on the back of any photo they wanted to order.

I forget how much I charged, but I do remember making enough money to consider it worthwhile, so I kept after it through the rest of my high school career.

This photo isn't very good, but it's vaguely amusing to me because it makes it look as if we didn't do anything backstage but eat.

I guess our dressing rooms weren't big enough for the whole cast, because this appears to be a classroom.
