| Description |
English: Work is underway to build a short new railway line in Ipswich, Suffolk. Known as 'Bacon Factory Curve', it will allow freight trains running south on the main line to go directly to the Felixstowe Branch Line. This shows work on constructing a new bridge over the River Gipping at Boss Hall which will be wide enough to accommodate the junction at the Felixstowe end of the curve. The picture was taken in October 2013 and the bridge was due to be moved into position and replace the existing bridge at Christmas. |
