Summary edit
DescriptionBaildon - Railway Viaduct - geograph.org.uk - 818640.jpg |
English: Baildon - Railway Viaduct. The railway line crossing the viaduct is the one from Shipley to Guiseley. The photo is taken from the path along the north side of the River Aire. Although this path claims to be part of the Airdedale Way long-distance path, its condition between Otley Road (in Shipley) and Denso Marston Nature Reserve (in Baildon) leaves a lot to be desired. The walking surface is very rough in places. This is partly due to "natural causes" (tree roots and river flooding), but the contractors for the various building developments to the north of the river have also use the path as a dumping ground for their rubbish. |
