English: Bamboo Bridge, River Tyne A Bamboo Bridge is being built over the Tyne as part of a Summer festival, culminating in a party on the evening of 18th July when 'As nightfall descends, specially commissioned music will be heard and two riggers will climb the length of the bridge, lighting over 700 flames on the bridge until meeting in the middle. Their balletic movements silhouetted in the night sky will create a breath-taking and awe-inspiring spectacle' - should be good.
