« La tempête du 25 au 27 mars 1947 a été considérée comme la tempête du siècle par le journal La Frontière et elle a relégué aux oubliettes celle du mois de février précédent qui avait également été qualifiée de tempête du siècle! Le réseau routier de Rouyn-Noranda à été bloqué pendant trois jours, il était impossible de circuler. On raconte qu’une autoneige serait passée au-dessus d’une automobile ensevelie de neige, sans s’en apercevoir. – flickr.com»
