English: Video shoot Cathartic’s dark blend of alternative rock, at times reminiscent of the 90’s Seattle sound; dynamically spirals between heavy and soothing groves within a forum of dense rhythms and soaring vocals sweetened by harmonies. The Album plays well from beginning to end sucking you in with a 40 sec acoustic intro building into the rest of the record, which will have you banging your head to the metal inspired licks and pounding drums. Just before you’re about to get ‘headbangers neck’ it opens up giving you a change to breath and sway to an uplifting, smooth chorus. This is a solid first CD, showcasing the bands talent and broad influence, with promise for the future. |
