Summary edit

Description Bardwell's Ferry Bridge, spanning the Deerfield River on Bardwell's Ferry Road, Conway / Shelburne, Franklin County, Massachusetts, USA. Built in 1882. Bardwell's Ferry Bridge is an excellent, virtually unaltered, example of William Douglas's 1878 patent for a wrought-rion lenticular truss bridge. The bridge is nationally significant as one of the longest and oldest surviving lenticular truss spans in the United States. This image is part of the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), created by the Library of Congress, and hence is in the public domain. Survey number: HAER MA-98.
