A plaque marking the site of the Cambrian Railway signal box at Barmouth. It was rendered redundant when Radio Electronic Token Block Signalling (RETB) was introduced in 1988. It was dismantled in 1999 and moved to the Llangollen Railway. All trains on the Cambrian route are now controlled by radio from the Machynlleth signalling centre. |
