| Description |
English: Barn on edge of Clayhidon Turbary The barn is at the bottom of a steep field below Mount Pleasant Farm. The gate to the right (through which passes public footpath Clayhidon 6) gives out on to Clayhidon Turbary, around 15ha of common land in five parcels now owned by Clayhidon Parish Council. The name 'turbary' implies that the common was once a source of fuel for villagers, although its size and character suggests that it was also used for grazing commoners' livestock. |
