The two -hourly service between <a href="http://kursbuch.bahn.de/hafas/2009/kbview.exe/dn/192_Taeglich_G08102008.pdf?filename=192_Taeglich_G08102008.pdf&orig=sS" rel="nofollow">Barth and Stralsund KBS 192</a> operated by UBB GmbH, the <a href="http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usedomer_B%c3%a4derbahn" rel="nofollow">Usedomer Bäderbahn GmbH</a>. Velgast was also a junction for a long ,<a href="#//www.bahn-in-pommern.de/strecken/klbv6_b2.htm" rel="nofollow"> rural service to Tribsees</a> which did not survive the free market and bit the dust in May 1995. Unbelievably this branch was electrified originally, but the masts were finally taken away in 2005. This is a GTW - Gelenktriebwagen from Stadler of which the UBB operates 23 of these 2/6 railcars including short forays into Poland from Ahlbeck to Świnoujście |
