Français : Découverte en 1975, par Jacques DASSIÉ, prospecteur aérien, la ville portuaire gallo-romaine de NOVIOREGUM est localisée sur la commune de Barzan, en Charente Maritime.
Entourée d'un cercle de collines, elle se situe rive droite de la Gironde, près de Talmont-sur-Gironde. De grandes fouilles, initialisées par les Facultés de Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Poitiers, avec le concours de l'ASSA Barzan, de la DRAC Poitou-Charentes ont porté sur le temple du Fâ et son péribole, la Grande Avenue, les Thermes, les horrea et le Théâtre. |
