Description
English: Basingstoke Canal: Guildford Road bridge The Basingstoke Canal was built between 1788 and 1794 and connected Basingstoke with the River Wey Navigation. It is 32 miles long with 29 locks. After many years of restoration it's now fully navigable. This is the B3012 Guildford Road bridge that was built around 1790 and reconstructed by Surrey County Council in 1997.
