Summary edit

Description
English: Basingstoke Canal: Junction with the River Wey Navigation On the right is the downstream end of the 60 kilometre, or 37 mile, long Basingstoke Canal. After it fell into commercial disuse and eventual dereliction after the end of the Second World War, the first 51 kilometres, or 32 miles were restored by volunteers and the canal was re-opened in 1991. In the far distance can be seen the first lock. On the left the River Wey Navigation proceeds under a footbridge and then a under a railway bridge.
