Description
English: Basis of a monument in honour of Olympis, of Tauromenion, winner in the Pythian Games of Delphoi. Lapidary and epigraphic collection of the Greek Theatre of Taormina. Found in Monastery of Santa Maria di Valverde (Taormina, now Caserma dei Carabinieri). Inscriptionː "The damos (demos) of the Taurmenitai [honours] Olympis son of Olympis MESTON winner with the adult horse in the Pythian games."
Čeština: Podstavec čehosi, snad sochy, pro oslavu vítěze Pýthujských her v Delfách. Muzeum divadla v Taormíně. Muzeum divadla v Taormíně. Nález z kláštera Santa Maria di Valverde v Taormině (nyní kasárna karabiniérů). Nápis: "Tauromenitský lid [postavil ke cti] Olympida, syna Olympida Mestona, vítěze na koni při Pýthijských hrách."
