Summary edit
DescriptionBasler Hof Bauamulett.jpg |
H 51/010). Maße: Durchmesser 80 mm, Höhe 11 mm. English: Amulet of the Basler Hof in Freiburg. The leaden capsule with astrological engravings and little figures was found in 1950 undamaged beneath the main entrance of the house which has been destroyed 1944 by the air raid on Freiburg. The capsule which is unornamented outside showed inside on the ground originally a lion carrying a castle. On the cover plate including an horoscope originally a snake was fixed upside-down carrying a child in its mouth. The originally fixed figures are now removeable and in this picture arranged in the WRONG way! Today the capsule is located nearby in the Museum für Stadtgeschichte in Freiburg (InvNo. H 51/010). Measure: diameter 80 mm, height 11 mm. |
