| Description |
English: Beach, Lydd on Sea Looking northwards along the line of sand and shingle. Much of the shingle here is dumped from the southern end of the Dungeness peninsula which is gradually receding whereas the eastern side is growing. To protect the power station much of the shingle on the eastern side is transported back in lorries and dumped on the southern side at least it provides the contractors with a job for life. |
