| Description |
English: The same thunderstorm looks differently on two different radars. The resolution cell of the radar near the thunderstorm fills out the radar beam. The radar far away sees a wider area including more backscatterers. This one radar will see the cloud more smoothed than the radar nearby.
Deutsch: Das gleiche Gewitter wird von unterschiedlichen Radargeräten unterschiedlich dargestellt. Das Impulsvolumen des Radars in der Nähe wird durch den Radarstrahl voll ausgefüllt. Ein Radar weiter weg hat ein viel größeres Impulsvolumen, welches mehr reflektierende Objekte beinhaltet. Dieses Radar wird die Struktur der Wolke mehr geglättet sehen. |
