Transcripción de la ficha:

"La santa originaria de Castelfiorentino (cerca de Florencia) y fallecida en 1240 es representada con hábito franciscano, debido al pasaje hagiográfico de una visita en la que san Francisco la admitiera en la Orden. Como modelo de compasión y ascesis para la vida conventual, se ve a Viridiana de hinojos, con corona de espinas y crucifijo entre las manos. A sus pies, el objeto de su contemplación: las Arms Christi (Cruz, clavos, martillo, tenazas, lanza, cetro, columna, escalera y flagelo), y las serpientes y alimañas que la acecharan en su celda y que simbolizan el Mal. El tercer pintor de los Echave ha puesto especial cuidado en los matices de grises y pardos, así como en la textura del hábito raido, en las luces del rumpimiento de Gloria, del halo y del rostro semicubierto por un sutil velo."
