Description
English: Bédarieux Hérault France - Organ of Chruche of St.Louis - Originally manufactured and put into service at the Saint Jerome church in Toulouse in 1840. In 1876 the organ was transferred by the factor Baptiste Puget to the church of Saint-Louis in Bédarieux. On this occasion, he adds a Gambe and a Celestial Voice to the Narrative keyboard.
The Buffet with columns in one body is classified to historical monuments. It is a magnificent buffet, very original because of its terracotta decoration, glazed and polychromed. Use of marbles of various origins (Saint Pons) and treatment of ceramics by the Toulouse factory of Auguste Virebent (1792-1857). The architect to see Toulousain Urbain Vitry (1802-1863) was associated with this work of development. The ceramic parts of the decoration are attributed to Auguste Virebent.
The console in oak and metallic elements, is separated from the sideboard and faces the choir. It has two manual keyboards (large organ, 10 games, expressive story, 8 games) and a German pedalboard.
Instrumental part: The current instrumental part was built in 1843 by the Manufacture Cavaillé-Coll Père & Fils for the Saint-Jérôme church in Toulouse. The instrumental part includes two manual keyboards (54 and 37 notes) and a pedalboard (18 notes) including Bourdon 16 basses (borrowed but not connected) by Maurice Puget or Troseilles. This set testifies to a production of the House Cavaillé-Coll, first period (The minutes of the Commissiont Superior of Historic Monuments of 13 December 2001).
