English: Beech woodland east of Ferny Crofts, New Forest Ferny Crofts is surrounded by beech woodland. As well as the beech trees there is also an understorey of holly, browsed by deer and ponies. It is quite common to find names carved into the trunks of the trees around Ferny Crofts, some even have dates (for example, 1978). |
