English: Belfast by the back door.
The back road from Bangor and Newtownards to Belfast comes via Craigantlet cross roads and descends, by a 1 in 9 gradient, to the Belmont Road. Belfast starts abruptly here there is no 50 or 40 speed limit just straight into the 30 from the country and farms. The cranes and what remains of the Harland & Wolff shipyard can be seen in the middle background. |
