Description
English: A Bell UH-1H Iroquois (aka Huey), N143SP, new to US Army as s/n 66-01065 with service in Viet Nam, leaves the Central Oregon Interagency Helibase at the Madras City-County Airport (MDJ/S33) to do water drops at the Eyerly Fire. Another Bell, a 206B III, N63888 from Hillsboro Aviation, readies for departure transporting firefighters. Operations are controlled by the Air Director in the Command Post trailer furnished by the town of Milton-Freewater in Eastern Oregon.
